The National Recreation Trail (NRT) marker identifies locally significant trails that have been designated as part of the national trails system, plus the everyday numbered trails of the Forest Service system (e.g. Mist Trail No. 4, Four Pass Loop No. 1975). It carries the trail name and number, and optionally an arrow and mileage, on a routed or reflective brown plate.
