The forest portal sign is the large entrance monument travelers pass when entering a National Forest — "ENTERING PISGAH NATIONAL FOREST", "BRIDGER-TETON NATIONAL FOREST" — set in the Forest Service brown trapezoid with a cream legend and, often, the agency shield. The generator will handle the forest name, an optional "ENTERING" / "LEAVING" band, and the shield.
